Now here’s a band I dig…. Slick style + Great Tunes + Awesome Name = SHIVER FOX! The band is off to great things. In the fresno area they are already in rotation at 104.1 and 95.7. Shiver Fox and A Chick Fight
You can’t run because you’re too fat!” is all I heard being screamed by some obnoxious female voice. I heard a hit and turned just in time to her falling to the ground. I’m guessing she hit the bouncer and he pushed her down. She gets back up dazzled and starts yelling the same thing again. She goes to push the female bouncer and she slams the girl to ground. On the way down she hits her face on a concrete trash can. She get’s up and start yelling again. Everyone tells her to calm down. Someone makes a comment,.. “Go Play In The Street!” She takes off running across the street and everyone starts screaming. She nearly gets nailed by a car right in front of us all! Isn’t that ironic?
Moments later, two hot rods pull up with the stars of the show. Looking like rocks stars out of the seventies, Shiver Fox gets out carrying their guitars and yelling at the people standing in line outside to come in. (We were standing in line because it was over capacity at 10PM) They let about 15 people in stopped the line right at me! I could hear Shiver Fox rocking out inside but couldn’t see them. I waited about 30 Minutes more until they let me in. They were telling people as they left to smoke, “If you leave, then you have to go stand at the back of the line because we are at capacity.” I can’t believe how many people were leaving just for a cigarette. The place was very small and packed. The guitars were screaming loud! I made my way to the back where I watched the show from the back.
Great choreography, great image, great sound, great solos, great name! That sums everything up for being Fresno’s next big band to be discovered. What else could be better? Nothing really. The venue,.. Well that’s a different story. Great Job Shiver Fox!
